My Story
I’m an Author and a Book Coach.
I’m Lisa Towles, an award-winning crime novelist and the author of 14 crime thrillers, most recently Switch, a techno-thriller published in 2025.
In 20 years of writing books, I’ve experienced every corner of the publishing industry – small publishers, academic publishers, hybrid, traditional, and self-publishing. And I’ve learned how to navigate the landscape through smart strategies, short cuts, and practices that keep me productive, organized, and sane.
My qualifications include an MBA, certifications in Digital Marketing and AI, 14 published books, two decades in the publishing industry, and 18 years in corporate communications . Learn more about me on my Author Website or on LinkedIn.
I have one over-arching purpose – to support and encourage writers on their journey. The digital world can be overwhelming, and I’m using my personal experience, education, and knowledge to launch writers into the publishing world with a strong, informed, and empowered presence.
My Approach
My approach focuses on outcomes, not a pre-set number of sessions. What are you trying to achieve, where are your gaps, and where do you want to go? I work with authors at every stage and every comfort level with technology — I've developed resources to make sure that never gets in the way of the work. I offer two different coaching programs, as well as lower-cost, individual, a la carte services.
